Walk with a Doc

Walk with a Doc offers free walking programs in communities around the world led by local doctors, healthcare providers, or medical students. These ongoing events allow participants to safely walk, learn about current health topics, and meet new people.

The Long Island Health Collaborative is all about helping Long Islanders improve their own health and prevent chronic disease through lifestyle choices like balanced diet a regular exercise.  Since our inception, the LIHC has heavily supported walking as an accessible way to be physically active, so we started ourWalk with a Doc chapter in  2019.

Our community walks are lead by local physicians and give attendees the opportunity to get some physical activity, build friendships within the community, spend time in nature, and receive free health education in a relaxed setting— an all-in-one “prescription” for better health!
